February Development Workshop

21 February 2010 at 2:30pm
Studio A1, Premises Studios, 201-209 Hackney Road E2 8JL

This is the first Development Workshop for existing GUYO members this spring.

This is the first of what we hope will be a series of monthly sessions offering you the chance to develop your musical skills in a number specific world music and jazz styles and techniques.  Each session will be led by a different Grand Union musician, giving you a varied experience.  You’ll not only get the chance to develop techniques on your own instrument, but can try your hand at number of Grand Union’s percussion instruments.

This first session will be looking at brand new pieces inspired by music from Turkey, China and South Africa.

The schedule for this initial session is as follows:

Sunday 21st February, 2:30 – 6:30, Premises Studios - Studio A1

14:30 – 15:00 – Introduction
15:00 – 16:00 – Rehearsal
