Monthly GUYO master class - Sunday 18th April - 10:30-2:00pm – Premises Studios
The next GUYO master classes will take place on Sunday 18th April at the Premises Studios. Please note that this months rehearsal will take place at 10:30am and not 2:00pm
For those who came to discussion meeting about forming a youth committee last time, and for those who are also interested, we will hold a 20 minute discussion after the session, so please organise to be picked up around 2:30pm if you want to be part of this.
Further details about the session
The session on Sunday 18th April will explore the technique of CALL AND RESPONSE.
It will begin with some singing work and West African chants led by Jonathan Andre, go on to drumming exploring rhythms in a similar way, and culminate in creating riffs and improvisation instrumentally over Latin and African feels.
